This full-day workshop provides training to participants on a user friendly research-validated program assessment tool that measures how well their programs provides safe and supportive environments, l youth engagement, staff-youth interaction, youth centered policies and practices and high expectations for both youth and staff.
Research shows that programs that meet specific quality standards improve the outcomes of youth—and that programs not meeting these standards do not show the same enhanced outcomes. A few hours of specialized assessment using a validated instrument can produce feedback that can significantly strengthen your program quality. Even a Small Investment Can Net Big Returns!

Winter training sessions planned on Program Quality Assessment Tools...
Quality Counts (QC): Georgetown Divide Ready by 21™, Inc. and Youth Development Network (YDN), are partners in the Forum for Youth Investment's national Quality Counts effort. Ten areas were selected to participate in this effort.
* QC brings a focus to why communities need to invest in supporting youth program quality and supports communities in strengthening quality programming.
* QC brings The Center for Youth Program Quality, a Joint Venture of the Forum for Youth Investment and High/Scope Educational Research Foundation, Youth Program Quality Assessment (YPQA)tool to the Sacramento area, including a series of trainings on how to use the tool, how to create program change with the data, a train the trainer on becoming a YPQA coach and program assessor, and a youth worker summit to build skills of youth workers.
* Additionally, in the winter there will be training on the Ready by 21 planning tools and this June 24th a webinar on a youth landscape mapping tool**
