The Coalition, led by a Leadership Team representing the City of Sacramento, City of Elk Grove, Sacramento County Office of Education, Sacramento City Unified School District, People Reaching Out, the California Department of Education, UC Davis Cress Center, the Sacramento County Children’s Coalition, Youth Development Network, City of Elk Grove, Yes To Youth, business and other interests, is currently engaged in the following activities:
  • Adoption of the Sacramento Region Compact for Children and Youth by 300 organizations and policy boards in the region
  • Support to committees working to move from policy to practices on compact commitments Distribution of a Capital Region resource guide that includes information on student achievement and well-being as well as resources for parents and care-givers to support their child’s success.
  • Support to a youth/adult outreach team to promote the compact
  • Convening community stakeholders every two months to help promote the compact
