Youth Leadership
YDN provides training to potential youth leaders through a balance of programs and hands on opportunities. Some of these programs and opportunities are: Sierra Health’s Leadership Camp, Sacramento Youth Leadership Program, and the YDN Internship Program. YDN also trains student advisory board members for the Sacramento City Unified School District and provides technical support to the Sierra Health REACH sites to help them strengthen youth engagement in their coalitions. In May 2009, YDN provided a community wide training on how to bring youth onto boards and commissions. YDN is available to provide organizations coaching and training on how to engage youth in leadership roles.
